A Great Cosmic Plan

So, I got a phone call today from a very charming young man who let me know that one Scarlett Guy, official queen of haterdom, has resigned from her post as Dean of Student Life at Stetson University, a mere year after being assigned to the job.

I find this to be fairly interesting in light of a recent discussion I had with a television man who asked me if I would talk about Stetson on camera. At the time, the whole being-tossed thing was still relevant, so I agreed. By the time he got back to me, weeks had passed, and I was so over it, I didn't particularly want any public mention as The Girl Who Doesn't Go To Stetson. I mean, seriously, who cares? There are better ways to gain attention, as you will see this weekend.

Strangely, though, Dean Guy had promised up and down, left and right, that part of our bargain was that I would "officially" withdraw, and Stetson would erase any record of alleged misconduct and would not answer to any questions pertaining to the matter. My television friend, during our follow-up call, made it pretty clear, though, that Stetson had given him enough information to determine that he wanted to pursue a different angle.

Well, really, now?

Five words about Dean Guy, then: What a stupid f*cking b*tch.

Or perhaps more accurately, how stupid of me to believe her, because, had our agreement been honored, Stetson wouldn't have uttered a peep about me. But that's not what happened. Oh, well, live and learn. Her gaff doesn't really affect me at all. I am just somewhat flabbergasted that, after all those stupid meetings about morals and ethics, our agreement would be so worthless.

Although, I must admit, I cracked up laughing when I saw that I received a hit, among several in the same vein, from a soul with a sense of humor. The sympathetic searcher typed into Yahoo, "Dean Guy F*cked Rachel."

Oh, she wishes she could. I'm really that good.

And if you don't believe me, keep checking until you see what I'm actually showing you. Not a bad recovery, so I suppose I really am right when I say it doesn't affect me at all. Things are thousands of times better than they ever could have been if I had stuck around.

I just think it's interesting the way everyone ends up where they need to be.
